The fleece grows on the alpaca for a full year!!! In May we shear the alpacas and send the fleece to the mill for processing. The fleece is made into rug yarn and then woven into beautiful rugs. Every step is a hands-on process that is done right here in PA and NY. We love the natural colors but the fleece can be custom dyed to match your decor. Give us a call early in the year for custom orders (colors or sizes) as this is a fairly long process.
These rugs are 2' x 3' with very slight variations due to being handmade. They are amazingly soft and just perfect for bare feet in the bathroom or bedroom.
